Happy New Year… And I Hope More NEW Entries too!

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

It has been almost five months ever since my last post, and I mostly decry the lack of time in updating this blog. It’s still alive though but I barely have much space to think or update myself with current liturgical or apologetics news here in the Philippines and around the globe. Nevertheless, in the name of my commitment to pursue my vocation of disseminating information about what being Catholic means, this blog shall always remain to fulfill that mission.

So until then. Have a very blessed New Year.

Aksyon Agustino: To Help All Victims of Ondoy

Monday, September 28th, 2009

Some fourth year students from our school Colegio San Agustin-Binan has initalised an outreach program entitled “Aksyon Augustino” for the benefit of those who were affected and left desolate by Typhoon Ondoy which hit the Philippines two days ago. H/t and a million thanks to IV-St. Augustine students Ms. Ara Basbas (for the note), and the posters courtesy of Ms. Rose Gopez and Ms. Chelsea Oray respectively.

For those who wish to send their donations or pledges through us, Colegio San Agustin-Binan is located in Juana Complex 1, Brgy. San Francisco, Binan, Laguna (near the Southwoods Interchange)

Alive!

Say, it seems as though I have been lost in circulation for the past few days and I likewise miss blogging here myself; but A LOT of things have been keeping me from recording liturgical and apologetics-inclined insights lately hence what I currently deem as a notoriously lagged behind apostolate has become Ex Fide in Fidem. BUT… since my schedule has been mostly unpredictable, I guess I should start revving up site posts whenever I’m free.

It’s not easy maintaining a regular blogging routine on the liturgy and other Church-related matters since I don’t have enough time to read–notwithstanding some other issues that get in the way of my religious blogging stamina; but of course, I pray I could be more focused especially on days wherein I should be coming up with something noteworthy and not laze around all afternoon watching subtitled Japanese dramas. :P (Oh yes. Jdramas are my foremost guilty pleasures.)

So, I now am beginning to think of what to write next. But in any case, all of you who wish to know what I do or think when I take a break from monitoring ecclesiastical matters may take a peek into this blog of mine. Be prepared, though, for more eccentric Jpop fangirling and/or anything in between warping each and every entry.

Of course there are relevant things today but…

… I think am procrastinating anew. Or that I don’t know what to blog about first. Sometimes my indecisiveness breaks in likened unto a tide bashing a ship during squalls.

Will send another update tomorrow; but as an “assignment/homework” of sorts (such as all of you may have a glimpse beforehand of what I shall be talking about eventually), check this New Oxford Review post.

Nothing of Interest?

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

I haven’t had my breakfast as of this writing so I think I’ll just have to save everything for later.

It isn’t easy to write whilst this soul pants for temporal satiation from physical hunger.

This is to another year!

Indeed. To our beloved Pontiff, Pope Benedict XVI: May you fervently remain as Christ’s beacon of light in the world today, inspite of the so many threats to piety and sound doctrinal praxis.

Otanjoubi omedetou gozaimashita!!

{N.B. Sorry for not posting anything relevant, most importantly after that great feast of Easter–in the Latin Rite, of course. I have been so immersed in my demonstration teaching and interview during the past days and till now I suffer from such a withdrawal syndrome. OK. So please pray for me that I should truly move on past this melodrama… :D }

Passion Week Meditations

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

I’ll be doing a couple of them perhaps later this evening then post them here. I just hope I won’t stay up too late as usual due to my work :(

One of these would be nice on my school bag

Sunday, March 29th, 2009

Since I’ll be enrolling for a continuation of my Master’s degree in Literature come June, I figured out it would definitely be beneficial if I got a new back pack. For if I stay on merely lunging around a girly shoulder bag, I’d incur disdainful remarks posted by my very own conscience every now and then.

BUT!

To complement my robust back pack should be THIS:

WDTPRS button

So… there. I’m not asking, but if anyone would like to send me a gift, it’d be OK. Haha :D My e-mail: faithmatters(at)saiden.page.ph.

For various WDTPRS products (wherein printed on each item would be the famous “Say the Black, Do the Red” liturgical slogans), please visit the Cafepress.

:D :D

Colourfulness. Images.

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

I need more of things such as the following so that I could gaze upon colourfulness in this blog every once in a while. I therefore conclude it needs be that I purchase a digital camera.

Snagged from WDTPRS, Fr. Zuhlsdorf’s wholistically wonderful weblog.

I am so much into the fandom.

Telenovelas Ain’t Enough

Friday, March 20th, 2009

Want your eyes brim with tears, your chest heave with too much catharsis, your soul identify freely with pangs of human sorrow as well as gaudeamus viri? (Hmmm did I get the latter accurately in Latin as possible? I need to enhance my Latin… Church documents are mainly in Latin and Italian, not Nihongo-ben!)

Read the Lives of the Saints. Incomparable:–a collection of in-depth presentations of various struggles, all in the quest for the Pearl of Great Price.

Part of my Wishlist (I have yet to create an Amazon list for this). But really. If anyone would like to bequeath me Butler’s Lives of the Saints, such person’s kindness would be greatly appreciated and rewarded in the Heavenly Courts.

[Edit: I reckon I should put up my Wishlist catalogue in the sidebar. Well, that would be a marvelous idea. Hmm.]
